8697 Returned  to Full GM Buses Livery

8697 has now been fully  restored to 1991/2 condition, into the  final GM Buses livery.

This livery was  chosen because 8697 was the last bus  still with a former GMB company to run in  GM Buses livery, and the variation of  white windscreen surround and headlight  surrounds (a left over from the orange  & white GM Buses livery) was chosen  to allow its original fleet number to be  used.

8697  attended the Warrington Borough Transport  Open Day on Monday 3rd June 2002, where  it was the First Runner-Up in the best  vehicle prizes and 3280 was the Second  Runner-Up.
